New York, Our First Visit.

November last year (2013) we had our first trip to New York, we arrived two days after Thanksgiving.
The weather was perfect, cold but sunny. We stayed at the Hotel Pennsylvania, in the heart of Manhattan, its central location and historic feel made us fall in love with the Hotel and our room overlooked the Empire State Building!
The size and scale of the buildings when standing in the street was breath taking.
Our short trip was so memorable, we took in the seasonal sights of New York City on a budget, walked through Central Park, took a ride on the Staten Island Ferry, saw the Statue of Liberty, visited Wall Street, took a stroll on the High Line, shopped at Macy's walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, absorbed the atmosphere of Times Square, visited museums, art galleries, ate in wonderful restaurants again on a budget, and lots more.
We enjoyed using public transport, buses and subways using a MetroCard.
Our trip was a wonderful adventure we have been back since and are planning another one soon!
