Splash, 1984 Movie About a Mermaid in New York City.

Just watched an old favourite film of mine, Splash. A romantic comedy of a mermaid in New York City! Starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. Directed by Ron Howard. Made in 1984.
Hairstyles and clothes are a bit dated, but an entertaining film, with romance, humour and lots of filming of the streets, landmarks and buildings of NYC.
